Welcome to the Curious Compendium!

    Welcome, reader, to what I hope to be the beginning of a fun, intriguing and thought-provoking project of mine that's been a long time in the making. Here, within the confines of this online archive and personal journal of sorts, I intend to tell the lesser known stories of our world. Unexplained phenomena, baffling missing person cases, haunting cryptids and urban legends make up the bulk of this Curious Compendium. 

    For those of you unfamiliar with me as a person, you're probably going to begin to wonder what has led me to such a fascination with the spectacular. It's a fair question and, to be quite honest, one which I myself am not quite sure the answer to either. Perhaps it was my experiences with the paranormal at a very young age when, out of the corner of my eye, I'd spot shadowy figures silently gliding across the oaken halls of my grandparents' home. Maybe it was the time I saw unexplainable aerial lights darting to and fro at nigh unimaginable speeds, all from the seeming comfort of my own front porch. Whatever the case, these combined experiences among many others have led me to a lifetime of obsession with strange cases from across the globe and, in turn, to the creation of this page.

    While I do have a massive list of events, theories, and mysteries that I hope to discuss on this page (589 at the time of writing this), I know that there will always be mysteries, both new and old, that I'll miss. As such if you know of anything that you think I should cover I've added a contact section in the sidebar for that explicit purpose.
